I am really interested in changing my background and blog style. This tip really helps in my search for a much simpler background:
Please do NOT use the "Dynamic Views" templates for your class blog. These views do not have a sidebar for the "Labels" widget, and the Labels are something that can really help people as they visit your blog and comment on your post, making it easy to find your Introduction post, etc. So, skip the "Dynamic Views" option, but explore the different "Simple," "Picture Window," "Awesome, "Watermark," "Ethereal," and "Travel" options, which all have their own color scheme options, along with a choice of background images (or you can upload a background image of your own choice).
